eQUEST is a time-proven, whole building energy performance/simulation design tool which is relevant to use at any point in the design process. This software can and should be utilized in our senior design projects. This program will be imperative in the decision making of which systems are appropriate for our projects design.
Utilizing eQUEST through our project will help to:

Compare operating cost of WLHP/GSHP systems with other HVAC systems.

Size ground heat exchangers and optimize GSHP system design

Compute energy savings to get tax credits/deductions and/or LEED points

Provide relevant system data to ensure correct decisions and assumptions are carried out.

Allow us to understand how a system will be configured throughout a building and how to improve upon its design.
